Welcome back! We're so happy to have you back on board for our 2nd All-Stars edition! We're honored and excited that you are here to play again and we can't wait to see how you do this time around. However, we're also dying to know what your thoughts are coming into the game and with this being an All-Star season, we're expecting you to really step it up and go all-out in your DR. What better way to start than to have some Pre-Game questions to answer while we wait for the game to begin?
1. Do you have a set strategy coming into the game? If so, what it is?
2. Since this is an All-Star game, do you know anyone coming into it? What is your relationship like with each of those people? Friends? Rivals? Also, if you do know anyone, do you plan on working with them at all?
3. Is there anyone that you don't think really deserves to be here? Why or why not?
4. What is something that you would like to correct since the last time you've played? Are you worried that your reputation from your previous season could hurt you coming into this?
5. Do you have what it takes to win this game?
6. Any final comments before the game begins?
Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer these questions! If you have any further comments or concerns, please contact a Main Staff member and we'll try our best to promptly help you. Best of luck as you venture into the game!
1. Well, so far my strategy seems to be to be the forgetful idiot who missed checking if DRs were open! In seriousness though, I'm trying not to have too much of a set strategy coming in as I'm not 100% sure on what the twists are. I'd like to try and play up and use the fact that there's so many comp threats in here, and that I'm probably the most hated person here other than possibly Ash to my advantage. Other than that, I'm trying to leave things open and try to not let most past events impact my thinking.
2. Yeah, there's a lot of people I know in this game. Some positively, some negatively. Obviously the people from S7 and S8 count, as well as Casey. And well, Nick too, but who knows how that's gonna pan out. I don't plan on working with people "just because they're my friends" for those that are, but if it's strategically beneficial to work with them, then "we're friends" obviously wouldn't be a detriment. However, with people like Zach, even though I may want to correct and patch up things from a personal standpoint, I'll have to keep my mind thinking practically and realistically as I don't know for sure how it could go.
3. While it's true that at the time I questioned Matt being added, and that it'd be easy to say myself and the other replacements don't deserve to be here, I feel like everybody does. I think that we all either have brought it before, or have unseen potential. I'm actually really excited to be playing with this group as a whole because I don't sense a dud among them.
4. One thing I'd really like to correct that I know might sound weird in the context of the game, is my attitude and how I approach both things and people. In my everyday life, I'm used to speaking relatively bluntly and without a filter, and for taking certain things people do in society that I find silly and sort of disregarding it. While that sort of thing may work with my real life friends and the like, I need to remember that it won't always fly in this sort of thing. My reputation of being loud and obnoxious is something I fully expect to work against me early on and possibly get me nominated a few times in the beginning, so I know I've got my work cut out for me to reverse it and climb out of the hole that I dug for myself in season 7. I feel like I'm a different person overall than I was in Season 7, so I'm hoping I can translate that into making different, more flexible alliances, and having a more adaptable and less...angry and narrow-sighted gameplay than I had.
5. As high of a mountain as it may seem, and as low as the odds might be, I think I do. Everybody here has some chance of winning, and I'm going to do everything I can to make it happen.
6. I vow to make a strong attempt to lower the amount of bad puns and jokes I tell to the other houseguests. I'm ecstatic to get this chance to play again and this isn't a chance I plan on wasting at all, so thanks to Shir and Kat for letting me fill in, and I can't wait to get this show on the road! Oh, and also, team Ciera/Monica/Varner/Peih-Gee/Jeremy for Survivor 31!
Edit: Maybe I should've vowed to not ramble as much too, while I'm at it.
