Look, I said I wasn't going to make a deal out of it, so don't worry about it. I really would rather it not become a where we become offended or defensive since that would just wreck a bunch of stuff I've been working all game to undo/fix, so yeah.
So I've been going through a lot of things in my head these past few rounds and while I always knew it would be something I'd have to consider and start looking into, it always felt too early to think "I should look into getting Zach out ASAP". There's always been little things that make me think even though I'm glad I sort of sorted things out in this game, he feels our interests aren't as mutually aligned as he'd like to imply. He told Nick and I that there's no way this vote should go wrong because he trusts us to vote out Candice if he asks us to. However, he told Matt that the reason he put him up instead of Neda is to make sure that Candice goes. That kind of goes against the whole "I trust you and Nick" thing, since if he really did trust us to evict Candice, it wouldn't have mattered to him who was sitting next to her. The whole thing just comes across as protecting Neda.
I've actually always found it a little amusing how he'd continually be all "no, Neda and I aren't at all close the same way we were last time!". Now, I'm not saying I think they've always been in some secret mastermind F2 the entire game, it's just funny how it falls into the whole "Super Specific Denial" category of things. I've come to the conclusion that Final 4 is too late to have Zach around, since he's the biggest overall threat to win this game right now. As for second, I'm surprised more people aren't looking to Neda for that since I think of the whole "Coven" group, she's the most well-rounded and dangerous. My main dilemma doesn't even have anything to do with this vote, since Candice going is what I'm pushing for and what works best for me, but whether to try and go for getting Zach out at 6 or 5. It goes between "is 6 too early since there'll be 2 girls left?" and "is 5 too late?".
The reasoning on that is that I don't want the Final 5 HOH to be 2 vs 2 with one of the guys playing being Matt. I feel like if Zach goes at 6 it has to be on Boog or Neda's HOH, or maybe Matt's if he somehow wins one, just to keep the HOH numbers at 3 vs 1. I might be making too much of him downplaying Neda's threat status, but I just know that as much as I may like the guy, I need to get him and Boog gone before Final 4 to have the best shot at winning. And I think I've known that for a while now.
Candice's video is actually a bit funny taking my last post and that I've been trying to work on the best time to evict Zach for a bunch of rounds now. Also considering, you know, me getting Mike out when I had the positioning, and getting Heather out to keep Nick around. Plus all the other stuff I could get into going back like the Heaven plan that Zach was a bit of a pussy on and cost us Keith, and soloing a BOTB. I get she's probably just bitter at getting evicted, so it doesn't bother me. I know I've done plenty, and anybody who knows me knows I'm way too headstrong and stubborn to sit by and let someone tell me what to do. All it means is when I make the end or get evicted, I'll just have to explain it until she understands. *shrug*
It is starting to feel kind of weird realizing I almost never lost my shit this whole game, though.
Zach won POV? Ugh. That's actually the worst case scenario since it just led to me being up on the block next to Nick. So...either I go home, or I lose someone who can actually beat the girls and Zach. Well, that's quite the choice. If only Neda was about 30 seconds faster, lol.
I was going to do like an audio shout-out to be different than the norm, but the camera I was going to use (to rip the audio from the video file) doesn't seem to work, and I can't get a hold of the audio recorder I was going to use as a backup, so the old-fashioned way'll have to do.
I just want to say thanks to Kat and Shir for letting me get this chance and for being great hosts as usual. As much as I may have cursed some of the comps (and I certainly did a bit of that), and as much as that "Trio Incident" put a damper on things, I really did enjoy myself. Thanks also to HCs for putting up with me, and to the Houseguests that were around as I played through this game. Well, almost all of them. So, until next time, keep on rockin'.
