I don't think ash fully understands why we were so annoyed with him in his season lol. It's not cuz he took out drew. At least most of us weren't annoyed about that specifically... It's cuz he did it for no reason. Drew was his ally and someone who was gonna go far with him. Ash took the easy way out imo.
But anyway. Just wanted to clear that up because I do think it's silly to hate on someone for making a move, even if it means a fave leaving. As long as the move is beneficial to the person making it, I have no issues with.
