Colby's Mid-Game Update [Hamster Watch Edition!]
Boog
Co-Head of Household
Poor Boog. This game is quickly going to shit for her and it's not really because of anything she has done. She's played pretty well, but every opportunity she gets to make something happen she gets completely screwed and not really within reason either. All of her friends have been walking in a single file line out the door, and even her attempts to remain in the good graces of power hamsters like Zach are failing when her ally(ies) [Heather] sell her down the river. I applaud Boog tremendously for attempting to make a huge move this week. Unfortunately for her and her allies before her, it's going to be a wash when all three of the comp whore hamsters remain in the game another week.
Brian
Nominated
I'm about to put him on ignore. I'm sick to my stomach at the thought of him staying this week. He's brought nothing to the game in terms of entertainment. Less than ten seconds into any of his diary room's I have to pause and re-read the first sentence because it makes zero sense! I think the thing I dislike about him most is that he's not playing a good game, and he's the replacement that is getting dragged. (Why couldn't this at least been Luisa?) If he stays this week it's not due to a strong social game, so much as it's he's a vote that's afraid to rock the boat. He will be [kinda already is] feeling the wrath of being a spineless voter soon enough.
Candice
Candice has made herself out to be quite the target. Lucky for her she has kept a lower profile recently and it may work in her favor. She has some solid allies in Boog and Neda, as well as strong relationships with Heather and Nick, but if Zach comes into power in the near future she may be in a world of trouble. Her entertainment value has dropped significantly in recent weeks, but she's doing far better than I expected her to do.
Hayley
Nominated
One of the sweetest and most positive hamsters in the game finds herself on the block again. I'm convinced if Hayley manages to stay this week she is on her way to another top three finish. Even after winning HoH a couple weeks ago it still appears that she's the princess pawn. It's unfortunate that other hamsters in the game use and abuse her constantly, especially when she appears to have solid relationships with them, but such is all stars. The one thing she has going for her is that she has a mind of her own and no one is going to manipulate her.
Heather
Co-Head of Household
I'm struggling what to make of Heather's HoH reign this week. I'm not sure nominating Haychelle was the best decision for her. From her perspective it does make sense, but I think she is way too afraid of Zach and that's what's really clouding her judgement. People like Memphis and Neda that she believes to be in Zach's corner wouldn't turn on her just yet. It's the competition whores aligned with Zach who are the bigger threats to her game. Additionally I don't think her allegiance to Ryan is as heavily reciprocated as she thinks it is. With Sofia zoning in on her, I'm not sure how much time she has left in this game. Heather is great at getting herself out of sticky situations, but Sofia is great at eliminating her biggest threats. It looks like we may be in for an encore from her this game, but instead of it being Heather vs. Ryan, we're getting Heather vs. Sofia.
Heaven
As the numbers start to dwindle Heaven's stock in the game continues to rise. In a week where she probably should have been nominated, she finds herself off the block and seemingly in no danger of going home even if she had hit the block. At first I thought Ryan was in the best spot of the infamous trio, but I'm starting to think it's Heaven. She's using her positive personality to play the best social game of the three, and is already outlining a plan to take out Zach before he turns on her. She's won the least competitions of the trio and is probably the most dangerous of the three. If she doesn't go home in a couple weeks, I think she's going to go on another comp run to get her deep in the game. Her only crutch? How tempting it would be to evict her if she does end up on the block.
Keith
While it's nice he dropped his trullzy act, Keith isn't doing much. He's all talk and no action. His comment about Heaven and Sofia being carried was pretty comical when he's not only being carried, but is arguably the least relevant hamster in the game right now. Aside from being nominated a few times, and voting in the minority, there isn't much to him. I'm not really convinced he'd ever vote out Heather either, and his overall read on the game is a joke.
Matt
Matt's the little fish in a pool full of sharks. He's doing fairly well all things considered, but no one seems to take him seriously. He's at a huge disadvantage given he's not really a part of the community and it's showing. He's going to be in for a rude awakening when he learns Zach and Nick don't give a damn about him.
Memphis
Memphis is playing one of the most balanced games of everyone left, but there's nothing exciting about it. He's one of only three hamsters to avoid the block, and that deserves mad props in itself. He's gone UTR of late, and while he has potential to win the game, I fear his friendship with Zach will ultimately result in him playing Zach's game and not his own.
Mike
USED VETO ON MIFIA
The second half of our infamous love birds hasn't really found his footing in the game. A lot of people don't seem to care for him. His soirèe with Sofia is the most entertaining thing about him. (and its becoming nauseating)
Neda
I'm very impressed with Neda. People may think she's annoying, but I think she's slowly becoming a sleeper threat in this game. If she can survive long enough and play her cards right, she has the potential to make some moves. She has close ties with Zach and Heather who she is aware can't be anywhere near the end, and she's not on the CKC's radar. I worry that her relationship with Nick could ruin her, but she's got a lot more going for her than her allies Boog and Candice do.
Nick
I think three of the voters [Brian, Candice, Mike] who kept him over Brittany are soon going to regret it. Nick has gone quiet and it's working beautifully for him. He's the biggest snake in the grass right now, and it's evident based on his relationship with Neda. His read on the house is spot on, and as long as The Sinister Six fractures without his hands getting dirty, Nick has a great shot at getting to the final two.
Rachelle
Nominated
This is a tricky week for Rachelle. I think if her allies are smart they'll realize how vital she is and keep her, but unfortunately people are considering voting the way Heather wants. If Rachelle ends up going home this week, it'll be heartbreaking to watch. Rachelle has been playing an amazing [if not the best] all around game so far. She is [was] the most secure in the Sinister Six alliance and has [had] connections far and wide across the house. Heather is right about Rachelle being a huge threat, as was Ash, but to see her possibly being evicted because of Heather, as opposed to being caught double dealing is unsettling to watch. Hopefully she figures out a way to stay.
Ryan
Nominated
If Ryan stays this week (which it looks like he will) that speaks volumes to the type of game he is playing. Sofia and Heaven are both much more likely to be evicted if they end up on the block and for him to stay, much less as seamlessly as he is, is very impressive. Ryan may not be playing the strongest social game, but he can rock competitions and is aligning with the right people! He's aware he has to knock Heaven out at some point, and is using his connection to Heather to pull him through this rough patch of the game. Furthermore, I think Heather is much more enamored with him than he is with her, and he's the real snake in the grass waiting for the right time to cut her.
Sofia
USED VETO ON MIFIA
There's no denying Sofia is a godsend in the entertainment department. In every conversation or post she makes, there's substance, flair, and drama. She puts people in a corner and leaves them speechless. People can hate her for her social game, and for her competition prowess but on some level I think there's some jealousy involved! Sofia always comes out on top of an argument and slays the field in every competition. Heather was smart to attempt to get her out this week, but went about it all wrong, and now this predator has her in her sights. Sofia is probably playing the weakest game of the CKC but that doesn't matter because she's the most entertaining to watch. I can't wait to see who she #slays next!
Zach
Zach is one of my favorite people outside of the game, but in games he can become unbearable to watch. I'm struggling to not give him a negative edit. He's paranoid TO THE MAX but about the wrong people, and it shows in every little thing he does. I think I would find him more tolerable if he didn't get so angry about Ash, and if he didn't get so hateful when he thought Christine cheated. He's getting his way week after week with few exceptions and it's starting to get dull. He's playing one of, if not the best game, so you have to give him respect there, but a lot of people are on to him, so he better watch out!
Christine
The underdog of season 9 didn't see a reason to rewrite the script, and reprised her role in this sequel. She was never afraid to make bold moves even when they could get her in trouble. While she could have thought out her HoH reign a little better, she had bigger balls than most of the cast, and you have to give her credit for that. Christine's got a shot to return in a couple weeks and if she does, you better bet your bottom dollar ratings are going to shoot up.
Ash
Ash will likely go down as the martyr of the season. He correctly identified who the major hamsters were but didn't have the social game to back it up. Week after week he was targeted for not being allied to the right people, but he was as loyal as a dog to Christine, and the man deserves a helluva lot of props for that! He could be whiny at times, but I definitely think Ash is a great guy as shown by his classy exit. He cared more about Christine's game than his own, and unfortunately the week he tried to sacrifice his game for her, ended up being the week she got evicted too.
Shilpa
Everyone was expecting Shilpa to be a huge hamster this season. Instead she was the definition of a hot mess. Week after week she was in a precarious position, and fought for allies that she didn't have the power to save. While she managed to have a solid read on the game, making her agenda known to the wrong hamsters got her in trouble and out she went. In a game where she could have sit back and coasted, she played too emotionally, and "wasn't playing to win."
Drew
Drew is phenomenal to watch when he actually plays, but he was a complete bust here. Good riddance AS Dominic 2.0
Ika
While diva is out early, she didn't go out without taking some people to Denny's! She brought all of her best qualities with her, but could never find her footing in the game. Being associated with Ash and Christine cost her, but it doesn't matter because she's still diva and the camera will always pan to her!
Brittany
Her eviction was one of the most unwarranted I've ever seen in a game. She truly did nothing wrong, and brought some strategic flair with her into the house this time around. While I wish she had a shot to get back in with the comeback twist, it doesn't look good for her. A mix of lovable, calculated, and entertaining, Brittany is going to be missed from the All Stars 2 house.
Chris
sNARCky as usual. The replacement who didn't change a thing from his first go around. He alternated between cocky, whiny, fiesty, and lulzy. Chris fulfilled his role as a replacement and did just as most replacements are expected to do. Early boot.
Nicole
Nicole was unexpectedly the first winner out, and wasn't even the original target. She didn't really do anything wrong aside from win season 8, and if she hadn't she may still be in the game right now. On the flip side, Nicole has a very good chance to return, and if she does it won't shock me one bit to see her make her way to the endgame. It's what she does and she's damn good at it! Not the most entertaining hamster, but certainly an unsung force to be reckoned with.
Luisa
We have three types of replacements in this game. The replacement who doesn't deserve to be here but makes it far, the replacement who changed nothing and had the same fate, and the replacement who came in trying to play a different game. Luisa was the latter. Far removed from her sassy attitude that got her evicted in season 8, we saw a much sweeter side to her that no one wanted to give a chance. Unfortunately for her, she was an easy nomination for Sofia and out she went.
Casey
Casey is one of hell of a hamster, but this go around he went out with a bang. After feeling betrayed by his Skype alliance, he let fireworks fly against Zach in one of the most over the top moments I've ever seen from him. He was completely out of character this time around, and it wasn't a good look for him, as he ended up getting his lowest placement yet.
Danielle
There's never much to say about the first one gone, but man was seeing Danni go first a bummer! One of the most strategic gamehamsters of season 8 let eight beers tank her social game. When the house pressured Brian into putting her up as a replacement, it was all over for her.
Skye
The only winner who didn't play. Blasphemous! > She gave Kat & Shir whiplash once again. While she would have been fun to watch [in a bikini], she might have made the season a little bit less interesting to watch. (And that's a compliment!)
