Welcome back! We're so happy to have you back on board for our 2nd All-Stars edition! We're honored and excited that you are here to play again and we can't wait to see how you do this time around. However, we're also dying to know what your thoughts are coming into the game and with this being an All-Star season, we're expecting you to really step it up and go all-out in your DR. What better way to start than to have some Pre-Game questions to answer while we wait for the game to begin?
1. Do you have a set strategy coming into the game? If so, what it is?
2. Since this is an All-Star game, do you know anyone coming into it? What is your relationship like with each of those people? Friends? Rivals? Also, if you do know anyone, do you plan on working with them at all?
3. Is there anyone that you don't think really deserves to be here? Why or why not?
4. What is something that you would like to correct since the last time you've played? Are you worried that your reputation from your previous season could hurt you coming into this?
5. Do you have what it takes to win this game?
6. Any final comments before the game begins?
Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer these questions! If you have any further comments or concerns, please contact a Main Staff member and we'll try our best to promptly help you. Best of luck as you venture into the game!
1. Do you have a set strategy coming into the game? If so, what it is?
Well...
With such a big cast this time around, it's really impossible to expect, or even plan for, anything. My approach, for now at least, is going to involve focusing on my social connections with the other houseguests. I'm not really trying to hardcore strategize with anyone at this point. I want to get to know people that I don't have relationships with going into this, and I want to solidify good bonds with them, so that no matter how things shake out with the twists, I at least have options going forward.
2. Since this is an All-Star game, do you know anyone coming into it? What is your relationship like with each of those people? Friends? Rivals? Also, if you do know anyone, do you plan on working with them at all?
Ugh I hate this question lol. I know a lot of the fellow All-stars coming in actually. My connections range from close friendships to mere acquaintanceships with some of these people. I suppose that I'll do my best to summarize things...
Shilpa
Shilpa is definitely my closest friend in the cast. I genuinely love her. We Skype most nights (sometimes just the two of us, but often with others such as Casey, Nick and Zach) and we've have been close for a long time. In spite of being BFF, this is the first game that we'll have played in together and I want to work with her as closely as I possibly can without playing stupid. She's extremely close to Casey so I need to be careful and not be a third wheel.
Keith
Keith is probably the person here that I've known the longest. We go way back, like years and years. I've played in his ORGs before and have done very well. I haven't actually been in a game with him in forever though. In the past we've worked with one another well. He's a good guy but he's also already reveling in trolling with his 'Keith Points,' and I know that beneath his goofy guise, he'll be playing his own game, and hard. While I want to work with him to an extent, I know that I need to be careful. His gameplay is often chaotic and erratic, and when I can't predict what someone will do in certain situations, that scares me.
Zach
Zach is one of the Skype Crew that also primarily includes Casey, Nick, Shilpa and myself. He's one of the funniest people that I know but he also happens to be one of the best players that I know too... hands down. He's a triple threat and is also amazingly well connected within this cast, considering that about half of the houseguests here just played in his own series' third Allstars season. I want to work with Zach but I also don't want to hand him this game either. The longer that Zach sticks around, the more threatening he will become, but for now I think that we have a really tight bond and are going to work together well. I just can't forget that I came here to play a game and the object of that game is to get to the end and win.
Casey
Casey is one of the best allies that I've ever had in a game, period. We've maintained a good friendship since we met and played together last summer, and I'm super happy that he's here. The biggest issue that I see with Casey is his relationship with Shilpa. I feel like both of them would choose the other over me right now if it came down to it and that scares me. He's been my #RideOrDie in the past but I don't think that it'll be possible for us to replicate that here.
Nick
I love Nick. Out of everyone in the Skype Crew though, I feel like the two of us have the hardest time connecting one-on-one. I really wish that wasn't the case because he's so funny and if I had it my way we'd be a lot closer. I do trust Nick in this game, but only to a certain extent; as a game-player, he's just a complete enigma to me in a lot of ways.
Candice
Candice is sort of a tertiary part of the friend group that will Skype together a lot. I adore her but sometimes in games she isn't the most self-aware person. I also think that unfortunately, for many of the people in this cast that she feels close to, she's sort of expendable. I really hope that she does well though, just because I know how much it means to her to be here in an All-stars game, given her not so great track record in past ORGs.
Nicole
My other half in this series... God I love her! Nicole was like a rock for me in Rise & Fall 8. Coming into AS2, I honestly think that we could do some damage together again. She's not the savviest socially but I will do everything in my power to make sure that she sticks around for as long as possible, because y'know, the Skype Crew, we're tight and all, but they aren't my only friends here, and anyone that I have a bond with in this game is worth more to me in this house than out of it... at least right now. All of that being said, I don't plan on losing to her again!
Memphis
I would definitely put Memphis on my list of 'simply acquaintances' before this game started, but in spite of not knowing him very well, I have known for a while that I wanted to work with him in this season. Watching him play in Zach's series and just knowing how hilarious he is, I mean how could I not? I will be the first to admit that I like playing for the long haul with people that are fun. We've already spent some time chatting it up and I think that the foundation is being built for us to have a really solid working relationship going forward. Yay!
Brittany
Brit and I exchanged some PMs during my season and I just really love her! Our personalities just jive very well and ever since Rise & Fall 8 wrapped I've really been looking forward to playing with her on this second go around. She's told me that she's nervous that her social game isn't quite on point yet, but I honestly think that she's one of the safest, most likable people here.
Luisa
LOL... the queen herself. I think most people were surprised to see Luisa back. She got a lot of hate from the House Callers in our season, (and a lot of hate from some of our cast too,) but I've always thought that she was a delight and hilarious. I was pleasantly surprised to see her here honestly. She was one of the votes for me to win in Rise & Fall 8 and we had a good rapport in the house as well. I hope that things can pick up where they left off between us because she could be a very valuable trump card for me to have around.
Ryan
What a sexy beast! Ryan and I had such a complicated relationship in Season 8 but I honestly would love for us to actually work together this time around, to some degree anyway. There are of course a few obstacles to that though... he's obviously got a massive target on his back from being as amazing as he is in those competitions; in addition to all of that, it's common knowledge that his closest bond is probably gonna be with another massive competition threat in Heaven. I'm very worried for him and his longevity this time around.
Brian
I kind(sa) don't know what to even say about this one. Obviously we've played together (he was Jessica in Rise & Fall 8.) I'm being cordial with him but Zach absolutely can't stand him so I don't think that he'll be around for too long. Brian isn't as intolerable to me as he seems to be to a lot of people, but at the same time he's not the most engaging conversationalist (and yet he insists on talking way too much about nothing, go figure!) While he could be an asset for me, I honestly just don't have the patience to drag him through the game a second time (wow, was that harsh?)
Matt
Matt and I weren't the best of friends in our season lol. I sort of spread the word that he was an untrustworthy weasel to anybody that'd listen (oops.) I don't think he's as dangerous or as snake-like as I made him out to be though. If anything I'd say that he's a minnow among sharks in this cast. I will say that I have a score to settle with both him and Danielle, to a degree anyway. Matt's vote in particular, for Nicole to win Rise & Fall 8, cost me the game. While I may accept the decision that he made, I definitely haven't forgotten it.
Danielle
And finally, here we are again... let me get one thing straight first of all, I enjoyed Danielle for most of Rise & Fall 8, and I honestly still do, enjoy her that is. The fact remains though that she was one of the most bitter jurors that I have ever had to answer to in a game. EVER. She got screwed, I get it, and yeah she probably had every right to be angry at me, but at the same time, I never would have done some of the things that she accused me of doing to her out of malice. I understand that she was hurt, and I genuinely feel bad about that, but if she's looking for revenge this time, I'll be damned if I'm gonna let her get it. You can bet that I'm keeping both eyes open this season when it comes to Danielle.
3. Is there anyone that you don't think really deserves to be here? Why or why not?
To be frank, you guys probably could have cut about eight or nine of these people! Off the top of my head, you all know that I love Luisa but really? What did she even do in our season aside from winning the first HoH and fighting with Ryan the week that she was sent home?
Neda, while she's a fun gal to talk to so far, is not really a necessary addition to the cast either, at least according to Zach and some others. Ash, Brian, Chris and Matt also do their parts, to varying degrees, to make this cast feel sort of unnecessarily bloated.
Honestly though, they're all here whether any of us like it or not and they should all be taken seriously as players in this game.
4. What is something that you would like to correct since the last time you've played? Are you worried that your reputation from your previous season could hurt you coming into this?
As much as I love him, my association with Caleb really hurt me last time. I definitely don't want to get saddled to another Caleb, no matter how useful of a human meat shield someone like that might be. I think that a lot of Matt's decision to vote for Nicole to win in Rise & Fall 8, had to do with the fact that I was the most closely associated with Caleb and since Matt hated Caleb, he obviously didn't want Caleb to get what he wanted, which was his closest ally (me) winning the game. It might not even have been a conscious thing on Matt's part, but I think that I definitely got associated with all of Caleb's explosive negativity. I think it was actually very similar to Parvati's situation in Survivor Heroes vs. Villains. Her association with Russell Hantz really hurt her. Hopefully I won't have that negative stigma attached to me this time and maybe then if I make it to the end again, I can scoop up a majority of the jury votes this time.
I'm hoping that my reputation doesn't proceed me coming into this house. While I may have played one of the most dominant social and strategic games out of this crop of All-stars in my first season, there are a lot of threats in this house. I honestly think that people would be foolish to waste their time gunning for me, at least early on. I might be able to charm and mist my way out of sticky situations (hi Jerry!) but I'm not the kind of player who is ever gonna be able to rely on a comp winning streak to get me to the end. There are absolute challenge machines in this game. I think that all eyes are gonna be on players like Heaven, Ryan and Sofia, at least at first... but we'll see.
5. Do you have what it takes to win this game?
Absolutely.
Will I though? It's definitely not gonna be easy. I will say one thing, if people do want me gone in this game, I'm not gonna make it easy on them. They'll have to drag me kicking and screaming out that front (or back) door.
6. Any final comments before the game begins?
I'm so glad to be back bitches! Hope you missed me...
